Your memories are yours - full stop. Mae never shares your content without your permission, and we don’t sell user data. All photos are stored securely and can be downloaded to your photo library at any time. We believe legacy deserves care, protection, and your full control.

Yes! You can download any of your curations at any time. The download feature will create an album for you in your Photo Library. 

If you cancel your subscription, your curated memories will be removed from Mae’s servers.

We will give you ample time to download your curations into your own photo library before this occurs. 

Yes! After Mae sorts your photos into “the best” and “the rest,” you can review and adjust the selections however you like. Add or remove photos, change the title, or skip a month entirely - you’re always in control. Mae offers smart support, not rigid rules.

Once your photos are curated, you can choose to purchase our physical products using your curations.

Currently, we offer prints and photo books, which you can view in the app - just navigate to Products.

We do all the heavy lifting for you. Once you place your order, we use your curation to design your product for you. You will receive a proof and can make any edits to it before it is sent to print.

Absolutely. Mae is built for families and memory-sharing, so you can invite trusted collaborators - like a partner, grandparent, or friend - to contribute to your timeline. They can upload photos and help shape the family’s digital legacy alongside you.

With a subscription, you’ll receive 2,000 new curation credits each month (1 credit = 1 photo). That’s generally enough to power your monthly sort and revisit past months or special events.

In these early days, we have capped the number of monthly photos uploaded per subscriber as we work to improve our tech and gather insights into what users actually need as it pertains to volume.

We are building Mae with this photo quantity problem in mind and intend that Mae will handle decades worth of digital photos, without our subscribers feeling overwhelmed.

Curation credits power Mae’s monthly memory sort. Each photo analyzed by Mae’s AI uses one credit.

With a subscription, you receive 2,000 new credits each month. Credits reset monthly and do not roll over, so it’s a great reminder to stay current with your memory curation!

Mae keeps track of your monthly credits and you can see a countdown in Settings.

After your monthly curation, you can make other curation requests and go back in time to previous months and events.

Not yet - but we’re working on it! Right now, Mae curates photos stored on your iPhone. We know many families have photos scattered across cloud drives, email, and other devices, and expanding Mae’s capabilities to reach those is on our roadmap.

We’re starting with photos because they’re often the most abundant - and emotionally meaningful - digital memories families have. But Mae’s mission goes beyond photo organization. Our vision is to help families craft a complete digital legacy, including videos, voice notes, documents, and more. These memories will eventually live together on an interactive timeline - a meaningful, shareable reflection of your family’s story across time.

Mae is currently offered at an introductory rate of $9 per month after a 15-day free trial.

While our subscription pricing may change in the future as we grow and add features, early subscribers will be grandfathered into their original rate for as long as they choose to remain active. It’s our way of thanking you for being part of Mae’s beginning.
